Softball

This spring, Angel played softball for the first time.  

She had a wonderful, very nice coach, and a great group of girls on her team.  They had a lot of fun!

At the beginning of the season, it was very evident she had not played before.  She had a difficult time hitting, fielding, throwing, etc, and would cry "I'm the worst player on the team!".  But she kept at it and we saw great improvements over the course of the season!  We were so pleased that she gave it her best.

The Mr. actually made it to a few games!  Yay!  You can see our bikes in the background - when we left the house it was comfortable so we had only brought light jackets.  Then, it suddenly got VERY cold, and since  we couldn't go warm up in the car, and didn't have coats...we huddled together to stay warm. :)

Here's Angel's friend (with the ball) tagging her out at home!  Fortunately Angel tagged her out too, so it all evened out in the end. :)  No hard feelings here!

Besides some mad softball skills, Angel learned sportsmanship....

Grins saw some of his friends, so he decided to take off Wiggles' coat and just use the blanket.

We had a great season!  Who knows, maybe we'll even do it again next year?
