The 2012/13 school year was a lot of fun for my 1st Grader Grins and 2nd Grader Angel!! They were in classrooms next door to each other, both in Grade 1/2 classrooms, and both had incredibly lovely teachers! Here they are, geared up for their last day of school:

Following the (short) school day, we invited a bunch of friends to join us at our house for an "End of the School Year" bash! We jumped on the trampoline, slid on the slip-n-slide, drew sidewalk chalk masterpieces galore, ate popsicles, and, or course, had lots of fun!
What a way to end the school year, and kick off to summer vacation! The next day, the first day of summer vacation, we met up with some friends at Bradbury Mountain (more of a hill for us Westerners!) for a little hike (walk).

We finished off our day with a visit to the beach on Cousin's Island, where we hunted for hermit crabs, played in the sand, soaked in the sun and splashed in the waves!

Thanks for the glimpse of summer! We love seeing your family any time of the year. It is also nice to enjiy the warmth when it is so cold outside now. We love you! - Opa and Oma
