Wiggles' Birthday

Wiggles turns 5!

She begins the day with Lucky Charms (her breakfast of choice)...

She was beyond thrilled with the little Star Wars pen that came in the cereal box!

Then, since the children insisted we couldn't do schoolwork, since it was a 'holiday' (birthday), we quickly set to work preparing for her party (the following weekend).

Her choice for lunch: Quesedillas and avocado.  Yum!

For dinner, she chose "Friendly's" and we obliged, since it was Kids Eat Free night! Woohoo! :)

She chose cheesy macaroni and franks, the healthiest thing on the menu (ha!).  Because it's only once a year you can eat junk like that and get away with it. :)  (Notice her little stuffie "cupcake" - a birthday gift from Auntie Hannah and Uncle Rafael that she hasn't put down since she got it!)

Snuggles from Daddy - we were so lucky to have him home early enough to enjoy dinner with us!!!

Quite possibly my favorite picture ever.

Wiggles informed us that the main reason she wanted to eat at Friendly's was so they would sing 'Happy Birthday To You' to her, as she'd seen them do to others at a previous visit.  So we made sure our waitress knew it was her birthday.  We had to wait awhile - but her smile and delight was worth the wait!

The crew and their birthday song performance...

Not one but TWO scoops of ice cream for her birthday treat - she is her Daddy's little girl!!

These two got some ice cream love too....

Then we had to get ready for Wiggles' Rapunzel party!  Here we are, making a long braid "Maypole" style.  I sang a song while they weaved in and out, creating a braid - and they did a beautiful job!  It was so much fun!!

We made braided pretzels.

They helped me make paper lanterns and banners for the party.

And, my pathetic little amateur attempt at a Rapunzel Tower cake I saw online.  (And little orange 'boats' Wiggles saw that she requested). Pinterest Fail.  But oh well - it was tasty, and the kids enjoyed it. :)

Here's all the little towers (the kids decorated them later a the party).  They were dipped in white chocolate, and filled with cupcakes.

The braid and the birthday girl.  Can you believe how sunny it is in the middle of November? I love it!!!

Sadly, I was so busy during the party with all the games and guests that I didn't get any pictures.  (The Mr. was working during the party, so my sweet friend Rachel played photographer - I will see if I can get some of her pictures and add them later!)

Angel modeling one of the decorations...

Wiggles received a Rapunzel braid, gown, and shoes as gifts at her party - how fitting!  (And note the little pascal party blower on the table next to her.)

We sure love this Wiggles of ours!  We are so glad she's part of our family!
