Cape Cod and Friends

One of our all time favorite families came to visit us in October.  We had SO much fun!  Sadly, I didn't have my camera for most of the trip, but here are a few shots I got with these dear friends:

We went crabbing/clamming at the beach.  These two were trying to look for crabs from the dock, since the water was frigid!

We went to the Cape Cod Cranberry Harvest Festival, which was both fun and educational!  We learned all about how cranberries grow and are harvested.  We had a tour of the bogs, sampled all sorts of cranberry treats, enjoyed train rides, magic shows, an enormous sand pile, and even got to dry-harvest some cranberries!  It was an incredible experience!

Here we are exploring some equipment near a quiet, local bog near the home we stayed at in Falmouth, Mass.

We had grand plans to visit the National Seashore and the National Aquarium - but, due to the Government Shutdown, they were all off-limits. :(  Fortunately, there were plenty of other treasures to be found!  We watched this incredible sunset on one beach, enjoyed a picnic on the beach, drove out and walked on the very tip of the Cape, and saw the memorial at the Pilgrim's First Landing spot.

Wiggles brought along her Ted, of course! :)
